Visa Run from Phuket
There are different ways to leave Thailand for a new Visa or to get your next entry stamp for a multiple Visa.
If you just have to get out for an entry stamp, holding a multiple Non Immigrant Visa, the cheapest way is Ranong, a 4 hour drive by car from Phuket.
At Ranong you have 2 choices, the Immigration Office at Ranong Town, or the Andaman Pier, a more expensive trip but more comfortable too. The Andaman Pier has its own Immigration, a short trip by an air conditioned Boat to the Andaman Resort, a Casino, and back, is a comfortable choice.
There are other choices by air, flying from Phuket to Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur and back or any other destination like Singapore. Most of these trips are possible in one day.
If you need a new Visa, there are just a few ways to do it, one is Penang by Firefly airways, a 3 day trip, or by air to Kuala Lumpur, or Singapore, also a 3 day trip.
A cheap way is a bus service from Phuket to Penang, which takes 2 days, by minibus. Departure is at night time from Phuket, arriving early in the morning in Penang, straight to the Tai Embassy, where you hand in your application, and then to the Hotel, there you have a full day time for yourself.
Next day noon time pick up the Passport and return to Phuket, arriving late in the night.
Applying for a new Visa, especially a Non Immigrant multiple entry Visa, make sure you have all the necessary papers with you.
Documents required for application of a Non Immigrant B Visa
- Copy of Passport plus 2 photos
- Copy of Academic degree or curriculum vitas
- Original letter of recommendation of company stating reason for employment, position & salary
- Copy of company’s registration signed by authorized directors.
- Copy of company’s registration
- Copy of company’s shareholder list
- Copy of company’s terms and conditions
- Copy of company’s income tax statements
- List of company employees
- Copy of work permit ( if any )
